Symposium How to Catch the future
Erfgoedbeheerders presenteren de resultaten van vier jaar wetenschappelijk onderzoek naar digitalisering van cultuurcollecties.
CATCH houdt op 13 november a.s. een internationaal symposium ‘How to Catch the future’ over de digitalisering van cultuurcollecties in de erfgoedwereld.
Inhoudelijk directeur Valentijn Byvanck van het nog te bouwen Nationaal Historisch Museum in Arnhem gaat die dag in op de mogelijkheden van digitale technologie in het nieuwe museum. Chad Gaffield, voorzitter van de Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), geeft zijn visie op de geweldige kansen die digitalisering en nieuwe technologie biedt voor het geesteswetenschappelijk onderzoek en musea in het algemeen.
Daarnaast presenteren onderzoekers en erfgoedbeheerders de resultaten van vier jaar wetenschappelijk onderzoek op dit gebied.
De locatie is 'De Bazel', Vijzelstraat 32, Amsterdam.
